Scott Payette was the VP of Optical Components involved in new systems development at Wilcox Industries prior to joining Clear Align. He has worked closely with Clear Align for the past 14 years and knows our people, customers and operations well and was also a founder and key manager at Oasys, acquired by BAE System.
In his last organization he focused on operational and financial optimization but also has over 20 years of hands-on diamond turning and optical component fabrication experience to contribute to our new operation that has over 14 diamond turning machines. He will manage all personnel and operation in NH with daily input from the manufacturing managers (Richard Kwan from GSMS, Jim Wing from BAE, and John Lefrois from Clear Align who will manage optical fabrication).
Scott brings a strong background in optical component to system manufacturing. He has been involved in one large acquisition in the last 7 years and managed all elements during the transition from OASYS to BAE Systems as a founder of OASYS. He has relationships with many of the key customers during this transition and will leverage his network to increase contract build-to-print optical components and lens assemblies to support his operation while focusing on keeping key customers engaged.
While at OASYS, he was the diamond turning business manager, for which he had full financial ownership, sustained high profit build-to-print contracts in tandem with supporting internal optical component needs. The profit from that business unit was the predominant source of funding for the IRAD initiatives that led to new products that drove the acquisition by BAE systems. Scott was awarded a BS in Physics from University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Masters in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
