Accounting Manager, Eagleville, PA

 

We are looking for a highly motivated, Accounting Manager to join our growing finance team. The successful candidate must have great attention for detail and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for leading the accounting function and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

essential duties & responsibilities
  • Design all mechanics for next generation electro-optic products for defense, space, robotics and autonomous vehicles
  • Responsible for the development, supervision, and administration of General Accounting, Payroll, Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Leads the monthly accounting closing process
  • Directs the preparation of all financial reports; including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies
  • Performs a detailed review and monthly reconciliation of all general ledger accounts
  • Reviews balance sheet account reconciliations and valuation of inventory
  • Analyzes monthly fluctuations for the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
  • Assist in overseeing the overall treasury functions for all subsidiaries including but not limited to cash disbursements, loan procurement and compliance with debt covenants and borrowing bases
  • Establishes accounting policies and procedures across the business and monitors for compliance
  • Responsible for maintaining an effective internal control environment – including process creation and establishment of system control narratives
  • Establishes testing of documented procedures in order to verify compliance with GAAP and company accounting polices
  • Reviews and approves revenue recognition methodologies selected by contract and their application
  • Monitors various metrics of the business to aide in daily operational decisions
  • Primary contact and liaison with all auditors (Accounting, DCAA, DCMA, etc.)
  • Ensures compliance with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
position requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of general accounting in a manufacturing environment – AR, AP, payroll, lease accounting, loan amortization, etc.
  • Ability to create an environment that inspires employees to take personal ownership for achieving goals and for continuous performance improvement
  • Ability to take charge of complex projects with minimal direction and develop new strategies and new ways of approaching business challenges independently
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across functional and business
  • Microsoft excel super user
  • Experience working in a multi-site operation is preferred
  • Prior aerospace and defense experience is preferred
  • Experience using Visual Manufacturing ERP software a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA is required
  • 8+ years of diversified accounting experience including general accounting, cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, budget and forecasting, formal financial variance analysis and 3+ years supervisory experience
  • US citizenship or permanent residency required
