Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
The specified equipment is designed to perform in the environments listed in Table V of MIL-STD-461E: Surface Ships; Ground, Navy; Ground, Air Force. The electromagnetic emissions and operational field strengths that the electronic/ electro optic equipment supplied under this purchase order shall meet the specifications in MIL-STD-461E and MIL-STD-464A. All Fiber Optic Inspection System (FOIS) equipment shall meet the flight deck conditions, while Fiber Optic Test Set equipment (FOTS), which will be required less often and involves more maintenance steps, shall meet the conditions for the Hangar deck or inside the fuselage of the aircraft. Below is a reference to all applicable EMC tests that the equipment shall meet. A certificate of conformance shall accompany each shipment which confirms by inspection that the equipment has been modified to meet the requirements of MIL-STD-641E and MIL-STD-464A.
