Angelique X. Irvin, the CEO of Clear Align, has been selected for Congressman Matt Cartwright's Military Academy Selection Board. With over three decades of experience managing fast-growing technology businesses, Irvin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the board.

The Military Academy Selection Board is essential to evaluating and recommending the next generation of military leaders. The board, composed of diverse individuals with different backgrounds and experiences, aims to identify and recommend the most qualified and deserving candidates for the U.S. Military Service Academies including the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the U.S. Military Academy, and the U.S. Naval Academy.

Irvin’s defense career began with commercial technology development at AT&T Bell Laboratories, where she played a critical role in launching innovative products. Her efforts contributed to the commercialization of optical modulation technology that grew to a $500 million business in just five years. During her tenure at Bell Laboratories, she also led technology commercialization strategies with the Board of Directors for fundamental innovation, setting the stage for technology ubiquitous today. Irvin's expertise has made her a respected figure in the industry.

Irvin's leadership experience and commitment to service will contribute to the board and support the mission to ensure that the most qualified and deserving students are selected for the U.S. Military Service Academies and bring the next generation of leaders.
