Clear Align Names President to Support Expansion of EO/IR Businesses
Eagleville, Pennsylvania, Jan 11, 2022 – Clear Align announces the appointment of Randy Shaw as President of our Nashua business unit. Shaw is responsible for the production of our AI-enabled systems, infrared cameras, infrared zoom lenses, optical components, thin films coatings, and our fast-growing EO/IR manufacturing services. Randy brings a proven track record of managing vertically integrated EO/IR systems operations and expanding offerings in space, airborne, border security, ground, and the warfighter markets.
“Shaw’s history of leading multi-disciplinary teams executing complex production programs for defense makes him the perfect strategic partner to serve our customers.” stated, Angelique X. Irvin, Chairperson & CEO. “The trend of outsourcing as larger companies focus on their core competencies is creating greater demand for subsystem build-to-print or build-to-requirement in the EO/IR market. Randy will help leverage the synergy between people and technology, leading our team to innovate in operations for a better customer experience.”
Prior to joining Clear Align, Randy was the Vice President of Operations for DRS Electro-Optical / Infrared Systems, served as the President of Rochester Precision Optics, and was the President of L3 Warrior Systems Insight. For over two decades Shaw was instrumental in growing the Insight organization, a global leader in the development and production of advanced night vision and electro-optical technology and systems, from less than 100 employees and $2M in annual revenue to over 1,200 employees generating more than $330M in annual revenue. Randy began his career as an operations research analyst and team leader for the US Army’s Night Vision Program Management Office and was a liaison to Congressional committee staff in that role.
Justin Wexler, Clear Align’s COO, commented “Randy’s high level of competence and team-building expertise will keep us at the forefront of AI and network-enabled EO/IR development while ensuring on-time quality delivery of cutting-edge solutions.”
Shaw holds an MEA from George Washington University, a BS from George Mason University, and has completed the Executive Leadership Development Program at The Wharton School.
