As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing innovative products that redefine industry standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Designing Electro-Optical products with precision and ingenuity, prioritizing system-level thinking to ensure holistic solutions approach.
- Leading cross-functional teams to ensure products meet and exceed customer needs.
- Participating in proposal activities to secure new opportunities.
- Collaborating with a diverse team of engineers to solve complex challenges.
- Support both current and legacy products, ensuring their continued success in the market.
Position Requirements
- System-level thinking, with the ability to consider and integrate various components and subsystems cohesively.
- Bring a deep passion for opto-mechanical design and its sensor applications.
- Proficiency in design for manufacture
- Strong expertise in GD&T, with the ability to perform detailed tolerance analysis.
- Knowledge of materials and finishes, particularly for demanding SWaP-C (size weight power & cost) requirements.
- Self-motivation, with the ability to thrive in a small, multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively.
- A BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant product development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Solidworks or CAD software.
- Experience with FEA is a definite plus.
- US Person status is required with the ability to obtain Security Clearance.
