Clear Align is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist who thrives on precision, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional results. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Produce high-precision parts on schedule, meeting engineering specifications and customer quality requirements.
- Successfully program, set up, and operate CNC and manual machines (HAAS UMC-500, HAAS ST-30Y, TRAK-K3 Mill, Bridgeport Mill, Hardinge Lathe, and related equipment) for new and repeat jobs.
- Develop and implement effective machining setups, including designing fixtures when necessary, to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
- Inspect first-run and in-process parts, ensuring 100% compliance with tolerances, GD&T standards, and quality expectations.
- Identify and resolve machining challenges independently, recommending process improvements that enhance safety, productivity, and quality.
- Maintain accurate production records, communicate progress and issues proactively, and support cross-functional teams to meet delivery goals.
- Parts produced to specifications on first run with minimal rework.
- Reduction in machine downtime through effective setup and troubleshooting.
- Timely completion of production runs in alignment with delivery schedules.
- Successful implementation of at least one process improvement initiative per year.
Position Requirements
- Strong experience in a machine shop environment with multi-axis CNC programming, setup, and operation.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models (STEP, IGES, SolidWorks).
- Hands-on experience designing and fabricating holding fixtures.
- Strong understanding of metrology, inspection procedures, and shop mathematics.
- Proficient with CNC programming software such as MasterCAM, CAMWorks, SolidCAM, or Fusion 360.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments and machinist hand tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and troubleshoot independently.
