Key Account Manager

Clear Align, Inc. is looking for an exceptional Key Account Manager to join our rapidly growing team. This role will focus on managing the relationships with our most significant domestic customers, driving growth through excellent customer service.

Clear Align designs, prototypes and manufactures custom imaging, sensing and fiber optic systems for defense, aerospace, and commercial customers. Clear Align’s imaging expertise spans the UV, visible, NIR, SWIR, MWIR, and LWIR portions of the spectrum, delivering both narrow- and wide field-of-view systems.  Fiber-optic and sensing expertise includes optical integration for communications, remote sensing and targeting, as well as medical fiber optics.

We’re looking for a Key Account Manager dedicated to customer service with a demonstrated track record of success within the discipline to take account management within our firm to the next level. This high-energy contributor will have responsibility for executing the Sales and Marketing goals for nominated Key Accounts, ensuring that the voice of the customer is represented at all times and that the customer needs are seamlessly serviced.

This candidate will manage designated key accounts maintaining relationships at all levels. They will expand sales and deliver the agreed sales to plan. The ideal candidate will be experienced in preparing quotations and proposals, relationship management, support customer and internal meetings and be customer focused at all times. Responsibilities will include managing quarterly business reviews, scorecard management and managing the portfolio of accounts. 

The candidate must be a hands-on diligent contributor in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. They ideally should have excellent relationships in the defense and aerospace markets that will enable him/her to contribute valuable inputs on market needs and technical trends. The ideal candidate should be up to date on technical advances in imaging technologies used by the government and prime contractors. They will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and will report to the Chief Revenue Officer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop sales prospects, negotiate contracts, and maintain customer relationships throughout the execution of contracts.
  • Manage and support proposal development.
  • Manage spares and repairs.
  • Provide consistent input to CRM systems and dashboard for daily/weekly reviews.
  • Provide feedback on customer satisfaction, quality, and delivery to organization.
  • Provide input to marketing material, tradeshows, and PR. 

Position Requirements

  • Must be an excellent cultural fit in a fast-paced hands-on organization where each contributor is an integral member of the team.
  • A working knowledge of electro-optic systems and subsystems for defense applications.
  • Advanced Microsoft excel and word skills are required for automating costing and proposal processes.
  • Five or more years’ experience in Key Account management or Technical Sales to the defense and aerospace industry or other high technology industry.
  • A demonstrated history of identifying, closing, and managing multi-million-dollar programs with prime contractors.
  • Experience developing cost model and analytical cost analysis a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Background in infrared camera systems a plus.
  • Experience generating proposal costing.
  • Excellent relationship management and project management skills.
  • Experience writing and implementing sales and marketing materials.
  • Experience managing an opportunity pipeline in salesforce.com.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large trade show venues a plus.
