Clear Align is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in program management, some systems engineering or operations research systems analysis, and an understanding of defense requirements. This role requires the ability to coordinate multiple projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Program Management: Lead and manage government and defense programs from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client requirements.
- Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, supply chain, and risk management strategies.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, including engineering managers and teams.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate and lead cross-functional electro optical teams, ensuring clear communication, task delegation, and collaboration to achieve project milestones.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all projects comply with military requirements, regulations, and AS9100 quality assurance protocols.
- Reporting and Documentation: Keep our programs up to date in collaborative software to display accurate progress updates, manage and mitigation risk proactively.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve program-related issues, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain project timelines and objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
Position Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other scientific fields is a plus but experience will be considered.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in project or program management, preferably in electro optics, defense or aerospace.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, defense technologies, and standard program management methodologies.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, manage conflicts, and drive project success.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project,) and engineering tools (e.g., SOLIDWORKS, MATLAB).
