Optical Components

With over 26 years of experience, Clear Align can fabricate your optical components including spherical, aspherical, flats, and prisms. The standard specifications of our optical fabrication facility are: Optical Fabrication and Polishing, All common & uncommon glass materials (From BK7 LaSFN SiO2 etc to Sapphire & Silicon.) Additionally we can generate and polish ceramics & crystals. Scratch-Dig: Common 20-10 Best 10-5 Surface Quality to 5 Angstroms.

Clear Align offers extensive coating capabilities for optical components and systems operating throughout ultraviolet, visible, and infrared ranges. We design thin film coatings on our CAD stations and deploy to monitored coating chambers. We use a Tecport Symphony 9 Chamber, 52” box coater with diffusion pump & poly cold in production, we can deploy Physical vapor deposition (PVD) with Ion-Assisted Deposition (IAD). We use both optical & crystal monitoring.
At Clear Align we have literally hundreds of stock glass tooling called “testplates” that allow optical designers to save both time and money. Each radius in our testplate library comes complete with the testplates used for accurately measuring the radius as well as the various grinders polishing hubs and other tooling .
Clear Align has provided the highest quality manufacturing and machining services since 1985 Our machine shop features an arsenal of equipment to manage the high volume demands of today’s market including: MoriSeiki – CNC Lathe with 14 Quicktool Changer, Prototrack Milling Center Conventional.
