Angelique X. Irvin
Angelique has over 30 years of experience in managing fast-growing high-tech businesses founded on innovation. She began her career in Research and Development at Bell Laboratories and progressed to volume manufacturing at NEC, Coviant, and Clear Align. As a founder, she leads Clear Align, a premier worldwide supplier of advanced electro-optics serving the aerospace & defense, scientific research, life & health sciences, and unmanned vehicle markets.
Clear Align delivers component to system solutions to the intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance markets. The company’s night vision imaging and laser expertise includes optical integration for border security, unmanned vehicles, and the latest in robotics. Irvin had responsibility for over five acquisitions and their successful integration, including the acquisition of General Dynamics Mission Systems Operation in Nashua NH (formerly Axsys Technologies). Her strategies launched consistent double- and triple-digit growth for over a decade. Under her leadership, Clear Align has been awarded multiple patents and earned a multitude of growth and technology awards including the Inc. 500™, the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™, and the SBA Minority Entrepreneur of the Year to name a few.
Prior to Clear Align, Irvin led Coviant, a world-class electro-optics manufacturing supplier. She was also responsible for innovative product launches at AT&T Bell Laboratories including leading a team that developed LiNbO3 optical modulation technology and built a $500 million manufacturing operation in just five years.
As a public speaker, Irvin is a passionate advocate for technology innovation and small businesses in the United States and has testified as an expert to the US Congress. Irvin graduated with honors from Alfred University, with a Bachelor's degree in Ceramic Engineering and earned an MBA from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.
