Clear Align delivers Featherweight™ ultralight NIR and SWIR lenses for man-portable and UAV applications
Eagleville, PA - Clear Align announces a novel family of NIR and SWIR optics called Featherweight™ that are part of the INSPIRE™ product family. Through a combination of innovative optical design and unique low-reflection lightweight material development, reduced the size by 20%, improved thermal performance, and improved image quality.
“Infantry and airborne applications need more performance integrated into smaller and lighter payloads; this has been especially true for SWIR and NIR systems. Featherweight™ now meets these new requirements,” said Dr. Michael Finlan, Vice President of Imaging at Clear Align. The Featherweight™ INSPIRE™ family of products provides the industry with pre-engineered, high-performance SWIR lenses and NIR lenses built for hostile military environments.
