Clear Align Receives $65M IDIQ with the FAA Logistical Center to Secure American Borders

Growth drives requirements for infrared cameras, expanded services and launch of a quick-turn maintenance team to support border response.

Eagleville, PA - Clear Align has secured a $65M 5-Year IDIQ to sustain US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Systems for Remote Video Surveillance Systems (RVSS). The award includes hardware, repair, and engineering services for Clear Align’s infrared and day imaging technology currently deployed. These cameras and pan/tilt systems are the primary surveillance on the southern border of the United States managed by CBP.

The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Secure Border Initiatives (SBI) are part of a comprehensive multi-year plan to secure America’s borders and reduce illegal immigration. The initiative addresses both border control and interior enforcement. SBI is the part of the overall effort designed to provide the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) the resources and capabilities necessary to maintain and improve border control.  The FAA Logistics Center serves as an independent government entity providing engineering, technical, and logistics services to support CBP in the areas of ILS management consulting, secondary inventory control point, provisioning, and repair of radar, automation, communication, navigation, landing, surveillance, and weather equipment.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract includes upgrades, maintenance, sustainment, alteration, and software maintenance support for RVSS equipment was awarded Thursday.  Work will take place in the Clear Align Facility in Nashua, NH. The service branch has initially obligated $1.3M in the month of April for this sole-source contract and plans to incrementally fund work moving forward.
